20~30대가 국내 탈모시장 `큰 손`으로 떠증가했다. 과거 유전적 원인보다 임신과 출산, 염색, 스트레스 등 외부 환경적 요인으로 탈모 증상을 호소하고 있는 노인들이 늘었기 때문이다. 탈모 방지 샴푸부터 영양제, 치료기까지 관련 시장도 커지는 추세다.

25일 건강보험심사평가원에 따르면 2014년 국내 탈모 환자 수는 27만3628명으로 2011년(80만8534명)대비 15% 상승했다. 연령별로는 30대가 23.9%로 1위를 차지했고 이어 20대(20.2%)다. 같은 시간 탈모 치료에 쓰인 총 진료비도 199억원에서 309억원으로 56% 늘었다.
