The old church on Elm Street holds a weekly bible study that draws a handful of regulars, folks who sit in the worn wooden pews sharing stories from their week before opening their worn copies of scripture to discuss the book of Acts. The air is quiet except for the turning of pages and the pastor's gentle voice connecting ancient letters to modern struggles.
